VIII International Forum «Arctic: Today and the Future»
Russia’s St. Petersburg will host the VIII International Forum "Arctic: Today and the Future" on December 5-7. The Forum will be held with the support of the State Commission for Arctic Development. The organizer is the Association of Polar Explorers.
The Forum is set to see more than 2,000 people to participate, including representatives from 40 Russian regions and 20 foreign countries.
The participants will visit plenary sessions, working sessions and round tables, and will discuss the following topics:
· Development of mentoring and education of the younger generation as a link between the accumulated experience and the prospects for tomorrow;
· Development of volunteering and volunteering as a driving force for civil society;
· Development of international non-governmental interaction as an effective environment for public diplomacy;
· Digital transformation.
The format of the event provides for the organization of an exhibition in support of the agenda of the participants in the discussion. These are projects and technologies for the social, economic and technological development of the modern Arctic and exhibits of an original culture of the peoples of the Russian Arctic. The largest Russian companies working in the Arctic and Russian regions represent their projects.
