Export of Confectionery Products Increased by 14.2% in 10 months
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Luth during a visit to the ROT FRONT factory in Moscow. The deputy minister examined the largest cocoa bean processing line in Europe, which allows producing 25 thousand tons of chocolate semi-finished products per year.
The factory is the only company in Russia that uses the processing of cocoa beans according to a special method: cocoa grains are cleaned, then crushed, roasted and squeezed. This degree of processing makes it possible to produce products with high aromatic and taste characteristics, also modern equipment significantly reduces the time of the final product production.
According to Oksana Luth, the production of confectionery products is one of the fastest growing areas in the Russian food industry. In the first 9 months of 2019, the country produced 2.8 million tons of confectionery products, which is 1.8% higher than in the same period last year.
The growth of production and increased confidence in domestic products from foreign partners contribute to increasing export of confectionery products. This year, at the beginning of November, our country has already delivered overseas products for the amount of $ 930.8 million, which is 14.2% more than in the same period in 2018. The geography of deliveries covers more than 100 countries. At the same time, Asian markets are of greatest interest to Russian producers, which should provide the main increase in the export of confectionery products by 2024.
United Confectioners Holding, which includes ROT FRONT factory, is a significant exporter of Russian food, supplying confectionery products to more than 45 countries.
