The key Russian agricultural exhibition Golden Autumn ‘2018 opened at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements

October 10. Moscow has just faced the grand opening of the 20th jubilee Russian agro-industrial exhibition Golden Autumn, the main agroforum of the country and one of the most significant industrial events throughout the world. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Aleksey Gordeev, and the Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev.
Traditionally, on the eve of the Day of the Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers, Dmitry Medvedev awarded the best agriprofessionals, and then got acquainted with the exhibition. Regional functioners presented numerous ongoing agriprojects, products, successful practices and experience to the Prime Minister.
The Golden Autumn brings together an exhibition of national agricultural achievements and a business platform facilitating discussions on topical points of the industry. This year, the agenda is distinguished by well extensive international scope, involving a lot of representatives from 15 countries. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia is going to meet with the heads of foreign agricultural departments attending the event.
For the first time, Japan is the partner entity of the Golden Autumn under the cross year of our countries. Technologies and products of major Japanese companies are represented at the national showcase. The business program features a workshop on bilateral cooperation and implementation of Japanese “smart agriculture” technologies.
The key event of the business program is AgribusinessForum “AIC 2.0: exports as a modernization driver for the industry” to discuss the ways of technical and technological re-equipment of agriculture and other points of growth in exports of agricultural products.
The Russian Export Center stars throughout the business program by representing the products of 27 domestic enterprises operating in various areas of the agro-industrial complex. In addition, any of participating companies are welcome to get advice on export activities.
The Ministry’s exposition encompasses the Startup Zone of the Skolkovo Foundation, representing 17 Skolkovo resident companies, showcasing their innovative developments in agroIT, smart farming, land reclamation, feed and crop production etc.
Upon the tradition, a part of the exhibition is dedicated to the achievements of animal husbandry and breeding featuring breeds of dairy and meat cattle, goats and sheep, as well as poultry, fish, fur animals, rabbits, horses and even camels of the Kalmyk breed.
More than 70 enterprises from Russia and abroad are presenting literally cutting-edge agricultural machinery and equipment.
