Russia and Serbia feel like cooperating in digitalization of the agro-industrial complex

The Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with the Minister of Innovation and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, Nenad Popovic. The parties discussed the agritrade relations and the introduction of digital solutions in the industry.
“The turnover of agricultural products between our countries remains stable at the level of the same period last year and amounts to $360 million. At the same time, the Russian exports grew by 20% reaching $ 60 million. Such dynamics look much promising, and we hope that our supplies would be upping on and on, including the deliveries of grain, meat, fish and dairy products”, said Dmitry Patrushev.
One of the main topics of the meeting was the application of innovative solutions in the agro-industrial complex. According to the parties, digitalization and Internet technologies in Russian agriculture should contribute greater efficiency of the industry making the agricultural business even more profitable.
Today, Russian companies have lots of proprietary developments in drone monitoring systems and robotization applicable to agripractices, let alone the brand new technologies used in huge greenhouse projects.
According to Dmitry Patrushev, the transition to digital farming is urgent for Russian agricultural business, and the highway is implementation of world and domestic R&D whenever appropriate.
