Russian Milk Sales Grow 6%
According to recent data of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of August 12, the daily volume of milk sold by agricultural organizations amounted to 47.4 thousand tons, which is 6% more than the same period last year (in 2018 - 44.7 thousand tons).
The average daily milk yield per cow was 17.2 kg, which is 1.15 kg more than a year earlier.
Daily milk yield leaders are as follows: Leningrad, Kaluga, Kaliningrad, Kirov, Lipetsk, Vladimir, Belgorod, Vologda, Tula, Voronezh, Ryazan regions, the Republic of Crimea and Krasnodar Territory.
The maximum milk sales per day were registered in the Republic of Tatarstan, Krasnodar Territory, Voronezh, Kirov, Novosibirsk, Leningrad, Belgorod, Sverdlovsk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Vologda Regions, the Republics of Udmurtia and Bashkortostan, as well as Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories.
